Even though Ren agreed to be his wife they were still unofficially married. Even though the king wanted to keep his sexuality a secret, he wanted a big wedding. Only some of the kings most loyal advisers and his family knew the truth about him. The advisers began to make a church underground.

The church was nearly done. Since the king wanted it to be big and perfect, the king sent his sister to deal with Ren to make him the perfect bride and be his bridesmaid

Ren was sitting in the kings room alone. Due to the wedding he wasn'y allowed to see the king again till after they were married. The wedding was weeks away.
