The crowd cheered as they watched the execution take place

Cassima screamed as the fire burned her.

Maya suddenly rushed in and ripped off the ropes

Cassima was unconsious. The guards moved to stop her, but were far too slow.

Maya held her and ran into a ally way to take a breather due to how weak she was and hid as she held her mother in her arms

Cassima soon came to, smiling weakly as she saw Maya. "I'm so glad you're safe."

"Im so sorry I couldnt help you earlier mom" Maya said but then heard footsteps and began to run again

"We've got to get to safety somehow. There will be no place safe for us here now that you freed me."

Maya nodded but noticed the guards and continued to run as she held her mother bridal style while the guards were on her tail

The guards chased her, but they had a hard time following her in the narrow alleyways.

Eventually Maya got out of the ally way but was still being chased. Due to her being weak she was having a hard time running and then tripped and dropped Cassima

Cassima weakly staggered to her feet, trying to help her escape. "I'm gonna make sure one of us will make it out of this..."

Maya knew Cassima wouldn't even have the strength to get up

She soon fell down again. "Go....you have to live."

Maya tried to get up but didn't know the guard would reach her by then

The guard grabbed Maya.

"You let her go!" Cassima shouted, still trying to get up.

Maya struggled, the king would come by that time

The king soon arrived.

"Please, let her go....this was my fault from the start, she's innocent!"

The king would have been more focused on Cassima since the execution was for her

The king ordered Cassima to be taken back to the grounds.

"Wait! please don't take my mom!" Maya said. Due to the fatigue of the execution Cassima would barely have much strength to stay barely awake

Cassima had passed out once more.

"It has to be done. Your mother committed the worst sin here."

"you said I was absolved right grandpa? then let me take her place! let my mom be absolved of the crime!"

"I-I don't know. You were innocent from the start. Your mother was the one who forced you into this."
